About Us

2009 is the eighth season for the PHS Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse team.  After spending two years as a club program, the Pennsbury Board of Education officially sanctioned the team in 2004. Funding for the program comes primarily from the school and the balance is made up through fundraising and player contributions. Helmets are provided for every boy in the program thanks to our top notch parent group.  The only cost at this point is the coveted pride pack and end of season team banquet.

The team plays in the Suburban One League National Conference with  Abington, Council Rock North, Council Rock South, Neshaminy, and Truman.  Out of conference we schedule games against top competition including our annual games with Holy Ghost Prep, West Chester East and West Chester Henderson.  Our home field is on the corner of Queen Anne and Hood Blvd., but one or two games each season take place on Falcon Field.

During the season the boys practice every day after school on the Varsity Lacrosse field at the PHS campus.  The Varsity & JV squads also practice on Saturday mornings when there are no games scheduled.  Every season we attend a college lacrosse game as a team and enjoy festive evenings at our team dinners, Senior Night on Falcon Field and our end of season Awards Banquet.

In the off-season, boys have the chance to hone their skills by participating in several activities.  The following list gives a breakdown of the available opportunities:

  • Summer League (Wednesday evenings June – July)
  • MVP Summer Team Camp (One Weekend in July)
  • Fall League (Sundays in September & October)
  • Fall Tournaments (Two Weekends in November)

  • Captain’s Practices (Wednesday evenings Dec., Jan. & Feb.)
